Okay, this has gone from big swollen lips, to lips with a rash to finding out what the heck is wrong with me!
Okay… I found out what it is that is causing my lips to swell and rash up. The swelling, rash and irritation are triggered by an allergic reaction. But what am I allergic to?
This never happen before. The first occurrence was in the fall and now in spring time. I think what triggered this reaction was to the over abundance of spring cleaning I was doing around the house. The dust was overwhelming. The day after the major cleaning my lips were beginning to swell.
So, for about a week I battle with the symptoms. They didn’t get huge but there were very irritated. This past weekend they were highly irritated, rashy, itchy, scaley and burning. They were getting worse. Saturday I applied carmex to my lips at least 100 times. I am serious! They would get so dry so quick, I thought he carmex was healing them until I woke up Sunday morning.
I couldn’t even open up my mouth. The rash had spread outside of my mouth. My lips were red and inflamed. My eyes were foggy, red and irritated. I was miserable. I couldn’t leave the house so I missed church. Every time I thought I would get better, I would step outside and then they would only get worse. The climate and the dust are certainly contributing to making them worse.
So, I went and bought the advanced therapy Vaseline lip balm and a big jar of the good old fashion Vaseline. I was told by a doctor that this is the best thing for them, Vaseline and maybe some anti-itch cream for my face around my lips. The diagnosis: Lip Eczema. I didn’t even know that I had Eczema. The Eczema is triggered by an allergic reaction. So in order for me to find out what that is I have to undergo some allergy test.
The Vaseline has really cleared up my lips. By Tuesday the swelling had went down but still very visible. The rash had calmed down. I almost had the feeling back in my lips. They didn’t feel normal during the inflammation just tingling, extreme burning, and itching. During the healing process the those feelings went away and then it went through a blistery stage. So, it was like my lip was busted in three different areas. Very painful! That only lasted about a day. My eyes were clear again, I could see! Whoopi!
I kept applying the Vaseline. During the night I would cake it on because my lips would absorb it. Then I would roll over half sleep applying Vaseline. So, Wednesday morning was the first morning the swelling had visibly gone down. The rash begins to fade away around my mouth. Thursday morning, lips are normal size. Hallelujah! My lips are highly pink not as red and inflamed but still sign of inflammation. The rash on my lips also faded out but now the bumps are very tiny and more visible. Today Friday, the rash well…. still visible on my lips and the outer edges of my mouthy slightly visible. I can completely feel what is going on with my lips now. No more affects of Eczema in my lips just a few bumps and a very slight itch.
So, the Vaseline is working and a whole lot of prayer! After during some research online, I found out that there are millions of people suffering from Lip Eczema even with no prior occurrences of signs of Eczema. This is a mystery! But, I thank God for being a HEALER!
Good bye Fashion Fair, HELLO MAC!
My most new experience besides my wonderful Duby Kiss is the fact that I went to Dillard’s and sat down in the MAC chair. Oh yeah baby, I got my MAC on!
I use to wear Fashion Fair make up but the color just did not match up perfectly. So, I told myself when I was done with that foundation I was going to try MAC.
What I use to love about Fashion Fair is that it came with free gifts =) and it was made for women of color. But I found out that the colors that were made available were not perfect it was either to red or peachy. Not only that, it gets on everything I touch. I hate being at work and having visible finger prints over all of my paperwork. That’s embarrassing!
I was so amazed when I went to the MAC consultant and she matched my skin perfectly! I normally wear cream to powder but this time I just went for the powder foundation. It was the NC50 and she matches it on the first try. She’s good!
She took a spray bottle with water and mists my face after she applied the powder before she let me see, I didn’t ask why… After I purchase the make up I tried it and it didn’t last. I was very disappointed. It did not turn out like the MAC profession applied it.
So, I went and bought me a tiny spray bottle and filled it with water and I keep it in my make up bag. The next time I applied the powder foundation, I mist my face lightly with the water. My make-up was FLAWLESS! I have all full coverage all day with applying very little make-up.
The best thing about it is. It doesn’t rub off. I do the make-up usual by taking a paper towel after applying and pressing it down to my face taking away all of the excess make up. Fashion Fair, a lot and it still rubs off. MAC, there is barely any make up on the towel to be seen. AWESOME! It doesn’t get off on my clothes or paperwork. This is genius!
So, my new fav to go along with my Duby Kiss hair is my MAC make-up. The foundation is 26 and it was roughly $28 and some change after taxes but it is WELL WORTH IT! The powder gives medium to full coverage.
Girls, go get your MAC on!
Duby Kiss is my new fav! The 100% wrap human hair caught my attention when I picked up the newest copy of Hype Hair and the front inside cover was an ad for the new Duby Kiss 4″ Hair. I was drawn to those two full side ads and didn’t even go past those two pages. I don’t even know what was in the rest of the magazine! =)
So, my hunt for hair was on! I love the first picture, the wrap relaxed look. Then I love the picture directly below that.
I was later disappointed to find out that they did not sale the Outre line of products anywhere near me. The closes retailer I found was in Houston, Texas and luckily for me I could order online! So, that day I ordered the premium duby kiss 4” hair which was Wednesday and I receive received it that Friday even though it said that I would receive it within 4-7 business days. I got it in two, I was so happy.
I viewed the Duby professional videos on youtube and then I was convinced that I could do it myself. So, I tried. I love the hair and will order it again and again and again!

I want to share with you for those of you who are in the East Texas area about an awesome summer camp called the Busy Bee under the direction of the queen bee Lori S. Arteaga.
The Queen Bee hive is located in the beautiful Azalea district next door to Encore Consignment and across from the TISD Target Academy.
Let me give you a piece of the buzz….. The first session is from 9-12 noon and session #2 is from 1-4, Monday – Friday. Each camp includes all supplies, several completed pieces, a healthy snak, camp picture and lots of summer fun!
Queen bee is only taking 10 campers per session and spots are filling up quickly so early registration is necessary! This camp is for al ages K-12! Theres someting for everyone!

I have never been one of those pyramid persons. You know the one to buy your way into a business only to not sell a thing. #1 I don’t consider myself a salesman at all. #2 I don’t have that outgoing personality to manipulate your mind to make you feel like you have no other choice but to buy. No, God didn’t create me to be that kind of person.
I have realized something; part of my destiny is to influence others. As I gain confidence and walk into everything God created me to be, I can help others. Life has not been easily, I would lie if I told you that all of my bills are paid off and I don’t have any business relationship indebted to anyone else. The truth of the matter is, I do try to keep a good name for myself because and try to keep a good relationships with creditors, friends, and family. When God makes your name great, you don’t want to go up with everyone knowing who you are only to have a bunch of negative things about you.
So, my purpose is help see you complete. I love to see you take the thing that you are good at; you know your niche and make it work for you. Wouldn’t it be nice to wake up everyday doing something that we enjoy to do? Not being forced to go to a job that we hate.
Okay, Teenagers… How may of you need a part time job? How many of your want to work for Mac Donald or Taco Bell. I have never been a fast food person. I worked at Popeye’s Chicken for a short period of time when I was 16. Then I worked at Burger King for 2 weeks, but when I got a job working behind a desk… Oh that is where I knew I should have been. Not cooking over a hot stove and sliding in grease. (LOL)
But, every since I was a teenagers I applied myself to doing things that I enjoy. I never wanted to go to work angry because I hated my job. Then start to do things on the side that enjoy. No, I wanted my on the side gig to be what I did everyday and just omit the thing I hate out of my life.
So make sure you are doing something that you enjoy doing. Don’t go to work day after day doing something that you hate. If you are a teenager you can start now by working for yourself.
You spend a ton of time on MySpace, FaceBook and other online community sites and what you fail to realize is you could be making money. You are making MySpace rich by using their blog and they are getting the credit when someone clicks on an advertisement, when you could be doing the same thing.
When you blog on MySpace, you talk about what ever, right? You talk about the things you love. You talk about how you feel, what you did, and a life experience and so on blah, blah, blah… Sometimes you can talk about money, relationships, cooking, food, etc… The list goes on. When you spend your time making other people rich, consider you could have came to one of my seminars to I can show you how you could make your time spend online a part time job.
I can show you how to do it in different ways, with no money and with very little money. I am talking about under $20. Not only can you take that money $20 and start you something grand of your on, you can make a ton of money in the process.
So, if you want to work for yourself, let me show you how! There is always room for one more!

So, you are a great cook, now what? Do you just cook for small parties, friends and families? I know they call on you when it is time for the big church event and you are always there. Who else knows about your special niche besides the people at your local church or in your community?
God told Abraham, that I will make your name great…. Then, I will bless you to be a blessing. In order for him to be blessed to be a blessing He first told him that He was going to make his name great. How can anyone benefit from what God created you to do if they don’t know you? Are you limited to your community?
Okay, take the limits off! Let’s go beyond our friends and families. Let’s go beyond the church and small hook ups. Let’s look at the big picture. Get a website!
So, you think a website is expensive, huh? Well, they can be, but if you have the right tools and know the right people it can be very inexpensive. If you can do it yourself, you can save yourself a ton of money and make more money in the process.
So, right now you are just cooking…. What about blogging about your recipes? Or events that you attended and cooked for? Or if you want to have a bake sale, how about pre-ordering online? 
You can take your niche to the next level for your self! If you are ministry you can save tons of money by having a trained staff. So, they haven’t gotten a degree in Information Technology, but they can be trained to build a website in a days time and save you money!
So, sign up for the “How to” Web/Internet Seminar and watch yourself grow. Allow yourself to be manifested into everything God created you to be! Manifest “ME”!
When you maximize your potential, you maximize your investment within yourself. Swettie, your investment begins with you! If you don’t invest in yourself, you will never witness your divine destiny. Even if you are not the person to build a website, find out how you can make money from one. You get someone to build it for you, no when you are getting ripped off and when it is a great deal. Don’t be fooled by paying thousands of dollars for what you could have done for $20.
