  • THE BEST ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE YET! ESET NOD32

Posted on June 24, 2008 by in General

I have tried Norton and I have tried McAfee but then I tried ESET NOD32 Antivirus Software and it is the best Antivirus system yet! You can see the comparison for yourself: http://www.eset.com/products/compare-NOD32-vs-competition.php

I recently back in February purchased two laptop computers. The salesman told us about the one a new antivirus software that was better than Norton, Symantec, McAfee, Trend and Kaspersky. I can’t speak for Symantec, Trend and Kaspersky but I can say that I have tried McAfee and Norton and ESET NOD32 works best!

Do you know you don’t have to click on a link or open an attachment in order to get a virus. You can simply surf the web and come across a web page with spy-ware or a virus and instantly you can be a victim. Even on your my-space pages. I have experienced being on my laptop and coming across some of my top friends page only to try to have something attack my system. You must be careful, the Internet is not safe! You should not surf the web without a good antivirus program installed on your PC.

What I like about this program is it doesn’t get in the way of your operating system like Norton does. If you are not familiar with administrating settings on certain programs, you may find you computer running a bit slower than normal or a lot slower. You may also notice that you are not able to load simple programs on your PC. You don’t have that problem with EST NOD32. It is user friendly & safe!

  • Where’s my stimulus check? (Economic Stimulus Payment)

Posted on June 24, 2008 by in General

Stimulus checks were directly deposited into some accounts through the month of May and checks started to be mailed the end of May, but a lot of people are asking where is my stimulus checks? Will I get a Stimulus Check? Do I qualify for a Stimulus Check?  When the check arrive when by the date on the notice? What about Child Support, Student Loans, Etc.. How will it affect my stimulus check?

If you need more information on WHERE IS YOUR STIMULUS CHECK? The IRS website has a link called “Where’s my Refund?”, if you click that link you will also find information on “Where’s my Stimulus Payment?” You will need you Social Security Number, Filing Status, and # of Exemptions claimed.

Link to Where’s my Stimulus Payment:

    https://sa1.www4.irs.gov/irfof/IRServlet?app=IRACTC&selectLanguage=en

Information will be avaliable on the IRS website normally two weeks prior to when you receive your check. The information normally generates around the same time you should receive a Stimulus Notice via USPS. You stimulus notice, notifies you how much you will receive for each exemption or dependent and the date you should receive your stimulus payment.

Do you have a question about your stimulus check? Register and post them!

(Remember in order to receive a Stimulus Payment you must have filed your 2007 tax return. Even if you are on social security or disability and normally you don’t file, you must file! If you file your taxes after April 15, there will be a delay in processing your stimulus payment. Also, you don’t automatically get $600, the basis of the stimulus payment is $300 per individual. You may receive anywhere from $300-$600 and then  $300 each dependent, if not over the allowed amounts of dependents.
