Posted on July 14, 2008 by in General

Jessica Simpson,  Vanessa Williams, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ryan Sheckler, Serena Williams, Melissa Claire Egan, Chrishell Stause, Jennifer Berry, Kevin Kasper, Sean “Puffy” Combs are named of among the celebrity faces of proactiv. proactive

Why do I write about Proactiv? Does proactiv work? I started out with the trail version of proactive around Christmas of 07. Proactiv work if you work it. You must follow the directions and use it at least once a day but twice is recommended. With me when I skipped a week, the pimples came back bigger, uglier, and more painful! Once I was about to end my shipment with proactiv because the regular proactive formula was not resolving the problem, I came across the extra strength solution.

The Extra Strength Formula (7% Benzoyl Peroxide) contents are Cleanser, Toner, and Lotion for a club price of $39. Proactiv has a shipping frequency minimum of 4 weeks to a maximum of 16. I had to change my shipping frequency to 16 weeks due the abundance of the product. Proactiv also have a Gentle Formula for more sensitive skin or if your skin has remain constantly clear for several months. The Extra Strength Formula works for me!

Proactiv has a line of products not just for acne including, oil control, body care, moisturizers, make-up, sun care and special offers! Check it out!

  • Have you ever been to Memphis,TN during the COGIC Convention….

Posted on July 13, 2008 by in General

During the COGIC convention there is nothing but church and major gospel recording artist and world known people.  There are midnight musicals every night and nothing but the greatest of the great attends and minister through song. You hear new groups as wells and old time favorites. The Clark sisters are always going to be there because of their mother “Dr. Mattie Moss Clark”, the creator of three part harmony in the Church of God in Christ, is the originator of music for the COGIC.  There is no one like the Clark Sisters and you will see Dorinda Clark in action like never before. Directing the choir, teaching music, having choir rehearsal all day long.

I grew up in the COGIC and I have made numerous of Memphis trips. I can remember staying in choir rehearsal with Dorinda Clark Cole and other great artist like Richard Smallwood, Walter Hawkins and others oh can’t leave out Timothy Wright.  All day long rehearsal on a Saturday to be prepared for the musical that night. Being a Mason Temple with the great soul food down stairs. The turnip greens, fried chicken and the corn bread.  Then the 24 hour prayer room with people praying all night long. Here is a clip that my friend, Greg Payne recorded while in Memphis during one of those great musicals….

Enjoy the video: “Memphis Clips” with Dorinda Clark Cole singing “God Did It” and a host of artist joing here. Mason Temple COGIC, 2007 Memphis, TX, COGIC Headquaters

So, now the phishers got Wells Fargo. I received this email today and noticed it was another scam.  If you look at the From email address is not Wells Fargo.

    • Remember to go directly to the source. You should never just click on a link because it is from a familiar source.

    • Do not click on links even if you do have an account unless you know for a fact that it was triggered by you; such as, requesting a password reset or if you actually did lock your self out and prompted your account to be reset.

  • I got spammed! I got phished!

Posted on July 9, 2008 by in General

    I hate spam and phishing!

Do you hate phishing as much as I do? I am going to share a personal experience with you that I witnessed a couple of weeks ago. I have an account with Citi, which has no money in it because I use another bank.  Anyways, I received email stating that I had a new message. I always received email from my bank stating I have a new message because I am always asking questions. So, I was under the assumption that they were replying to an email that I had sent online.  I click on it and it took me to a sight that looked exactly like the original site.  I was not aware that it was a Citi bank phishing scam so, I keyed in my log-in id and password. Still under the impression that everything was fine then I got a message saying that my account had been lock  because of fraud attempts and they need it needed to verify my person information. Then listed a form to fully input your name, address, phone number, social security number, debit card number, and d/o/b.  Oh boy, so I figured it out. Why would Citi need to verify this info in its entirety. Then I closed it out and went to the site www.citi.com directly and logged in and change my password immediately. My account was not locked up at all. I went back to the other site and just type in anything for the email address and password fields and it still took me to a “loading” page and then said my account was locked up (etc)… I knew that this was a phishing site.

LifeLock Identity Theft Prevention - Save 10%

I went back through my emails and noticed that most of the emails that I received from Citi was from serviceemail.citibank.com and the real one were from citibank.com. It is not safe to click on links from your email even if you think you are familiar with them. It is best to go to the site directly.

I have receive emails from PayPal, Citizens Bank and Franklin Bank and I don’t even have an accounts with Citizens and Franklin Bank. So BE CAREFUL!! Phishers are out to get your information!!

  • I love pay per post! You really make money for blogging!

Posted on July 9, 2008 by in General, Web sites, Xtra Money!
Okay, I am a witness!  It is time to make some major money for talking about things I love! Anyone can do it. The only thing you have to do to start blog marketing, is to start a blog. You can google “free blog” and see all of the available options. Then sign up for pay for post! But you would want to start blogging immediately because your blog must be 30 days old and have 10 valid post before you are approved. If you already have a blog, that is even better because you can start making extra money right away. Now that my blog has been approved it is time to start making money. So what am I going to do with extra money I earn from payperpost.com, well… I am going to stop living from pay check to pay check :) That’s a start right! All jokes aside, I think payperpost.com will bring about some great opportunities. It will allow me to engage my thoughts and enhance my knowledge on products and important headlines that I did not know exist.  If you have a blog check it out. Who does not like easy money, it’s a no brainier!
I love pay per post, it is totally awesome!! You can also get paid for reviewing post!

  • The Verizon/Alltel merger:

Posted on July 8, 2008 by in General, News

    Verizonlogo

Verizon headline news released on June 5, 2008 stated “Verizon Wireless To Acquire Alltel; Will Expand Nation’s Most Reliable Wireless Network”

So, now we know that the rumors are true. Verizon and Alltel are merging. Verizon is taking over alltel making them a larger wireless provider.

“This move will create an enhanced platform of network coverage, spectrum and customer care to better serve the growing needs of both Alltel and Verizon Wireless customers for reliable basic and advanced broadband wireless services,” said Lowell McAdam, Verizon Wireless president and chief executive officer.

Many consumers are concerned about their coverage and have questions about the merger. From a personal experience, Alltel has not always have the best costumer service and long lines are the norm. But consumers are willing to put up with the long wait and costumer service issues for  the service.  I have never experienced Verizon but from what I have seen, there network coverage is great. See my experience on  ”How much do I hate Sprint?”, it tells about a Verizon experience.
