You can get a free annual credit report from all three credit bureau’s once a year. This does not include seeing your FICO score. Viewing your credit once a year does not hurt your credit score ratings at all.
You may be offered to view your FICO score at a small price, such as $7.95 for one time. Make sure it says FICO because their is another scoring system called Vantage Score, which scores higher than FICO. So, don’t be fooled. The Vantage Score is totally legit, but it is not the scoring system that most consumers used. So, make sure you are getting your money worth when viewing your credit score by selecting the “FICO” score.
You should check your credit to for accuracy. If you don’t agree with items on your credit report, you should dispute them. The credit bereaus have simple ways to dispute items, there are no long drawn out forms to fill out just simply click “dispute this item” when viewing your credit score through the agencies.
