Recently I wrote about a bad experience at Pizza Hut in Tyler, Texas. Well, I would like to further express about this company! This is another bad experience and after I said I would never order from then again….
The store manager, Crystal Kyles (Crysta Kyles, Crista Kyels, Kirstie Kyles- what ever her name is) called and left me a voice mail to return her phone call because she wanted to make my experience right. So she offered me a $25 store credit. My previous order was $25.53. I was not looking to be reimbursed I just wanted the restaurant to recognize their bad work ethics and improve them so another customer would not have to experience what I went through. She said that the credit would be added to my phone number. She repeated my phone number back to me and I confirmed.
So, later on that yesterday before I got off of work I decided that I would go ahead and use the credit. I actually ordered way more than $25 so I knew I was going to have to pay. I placed an order online, I used a coupon my order came out to be $34.17 that is with tax. With the $25 credit I would have paid $9.17.
I arrived at the restaurant as promised 4:10 pm. The food was ready, it was in the bag warmer, keeping the food hot and everything was great. The cook told me that she would be with me in just a minute because the attendant was on the phone helping another customer. I was fine because patience comes easily with me, that am why I haven’t gone off on anyone. In a very professional manor I choose not be disrespectful even though I am being disrespected. Raising cane is not going to make things better…. Anyways… her badge said Tina and it said Management underneath her name…. She was the same lady that assists me in waiting on Monday. (My previous experience)
She pulled my check and said it would be $34.17 and I said well, ”I have a should have a store credit of $25.” She said “No, I don’t see one that couldn’t be right because it is not in showing up here.” I told her that I had spoken to the manager earlier that day over the phone and she told me that she was crediting my phone number. So, when they pulled up my phone number they would see the credit. She told me I didn’t have a store credit and no one there is authorized to give me one. I said well the lady I talked to was Crysta Kyles and she said… about that time she look as if I was really pissing her off, so with deep breathe she grab her cell phone and apparently called up Crystal Kyles (Kirstie Kyles).
She was instructed to call CSC and have them to void the order and re-ring the order up in their system and then the store credit will be the. She acted to me as if this was a problem to her. I haven’t showed her any side of discomfort on my behalf. So calls CSC and they immediately void the order and she re-rings the order up and hollering to the kitchen “don’t fix this.” This is so unprofessional.
So, still no credit. She said “are you sure?” I said “I am positive.” Okay, why in the world would I be in the store telling you the store managers name and they aren’t any signs posted of who the manager is? I have better things to do than going around to restaurants making up lies to get free food. She tries to call the manager back again, and again, and again…. She was not going to give me this credit.
After about 20 minutes I guess another form of management showed up and she told him that she needed him to witness this and that she needed to give me a credit. She explains to him the situation and he said just does it, as if that isn’t a problem. She was making it out to be that I was a liar and I am trying to get over on her. She tells me that’ll be $15 and some odd change. I said no, I used a coupon online. She said well I can’t honor that coupon because that is placed for order made online. I said “that is what I did, I ordered online.” Regardless of how she had to re-ring the order up, I placed my order online.
Her attitude is on an absolutely rollercoaster and she is rolling her eyes, breathing all hard, twisting her lips just really showing all kinds of signs that she is fed up with this old ordeal. So, she the guy says just gives her the discount. She said that would be $12.52. I said it shouldn’t be that, I was suppose to pay like $9.17, well “I had to re-ring it” she said. I wrote her a check for $12.52, with not a smile on my face. She printed me a receipt she said “Sign this, to let them know that I gave you discount and a credit and this is your copy.” That is it, no thank you, no have a nice day, no I am sorry for the miscommunication, or anything her last words… and this is yours copy. ……
I felt disrespected as a customer, I felt humiliated and disgusted from this experience. It was not worth a store credit. The order was $6.83 higher than placed on line, which means things are higher in the store or she did something wrong. I had to come out of pocket for their mistakes. It is not the $6.83 it is principal of the matter. Bad business ethics, miscommunication of employees, not to mention her going off on an employee in the presence of guest. She surely has a bad attitude not only towards customers but employees too. Customers were entering the store but seen that they were going to have to wait and left. Maybe they don’t realize how important “TIME” is a factor. I left this place at almost 4:40 over credit and bad custmer service from MANAGMENT! It is certainly a disgrace.
I don’t want a credit because I will never ever order or use their services again. Pizza Hut says they are rated #1 customer service satisfaction. NOT SO! Everything that makes up good customer service, they lack there of. Anytime the store manager can not properly communicate with the management team and the management team can not communicate with customers or staff effectively, it sucks. So PIZZA HUT SUCKS!!
All of my time they have wasted, I told them I would do them a favor and invest in waisting there’s via word of mouth, web, and media that they services are horrible. I advise no one to order from this business in Tyler. Now, my journey begins in them feeling my pain! You will see an ad on Youtube, Myspace, Facebook, and any other way I can spread the word….. I may even 30 second commercial for Tyler area… See how bad it feels for your time to be wasted! Congratulations PIZZA HUT for officially ticking me off!
