Recession in your life…

For many, recession has hit hard. For a few they have not been affected by recession at all. I hope that you are inspired from this post. Not only inspired but maybe leave with the sense after reading that there is something more to your life than just struggle.  

In the economy the talks of recession surfaced and it was finally acknowledged what has been going on for over a year now was true. Recession was starring the U.S. right in the face. Recession can mean a number of things. Webster describes it as the act or action of receding, withdrawal; a departing procession such as clergy and choir at the end of a church service and what we have witness through the economy a period of reduced economic activity. I was told what is happening naturally reflects what is happening spiritually. No matter what your belief may be, you have to understand the revelatory matter from happenings from day to day.

Now if we look at recession happening in the economy, one thing I can recall that I have heard numerous of times through the media and so forth is that this country would not know right off bat if we are in recession until months after or even a year. We can’t say that we have not been affected by the economic downfall because we all have in some kind of way. When gas was up to over $4 a gallon in most places, we felt it in our pocket books. The cost of food arose and so did everything else that had to do with consumers. The truth of the matter is we may be able to look back and see the affect of recession in our lives whether it leaving you going having to go through foreclosure or a lost of a job. Maybe you are one of that still have your mortgage is current but you are really living from paycheck to paycheck, barely making enough to meet your needs. Or you maybe one of the ones that were on the break of retirement then through this season lost a huge chunk of your retirement fund.

Now let’s look at what has happen naturally in a spiritual sense. Like I said, someone once told me what happens naturally reflects what is going on spiritually. A great wise man told me that! Now since you have gain a clearer picture of what recession is now examine what is going spiritual life. Recession means to withdrawal or decline. Maybe there is something that you have withdrawn spiritually. It could be your belief or your faith needs to be strengthened in an area. I know for a fact it is harder to trust in something that you really believe in when you are experiencing difficulties. For example, if are currently in retirement, would it not be hard to believe that everything is going to be all right when money is disappearing? But you must find some sense of belief and security in what you have, right? Then if not, you start to worry. Then worrying brings along stress, strife, sickness and the list goes on.

Again, the thing about recession is you don’t know you are in a recession until you have actually been in one for a while. Now if you borrowed money from a bank or take out a home equity loan many times you are told that you have three day recession period. You can change your mind but you must do it within those three days. Even though you have received the funds you still can give them back within a certain time allowed without being penalized.

Maybe you have gotten yourself into something that you know is really not good for you. Or maybe you stop doing something that you really need to be doing that before was really helping you. Or just maybe you have been doing everything you know to do and then realized that it is nothing that you have done but it is not in your hands at all but in the hands of the one that is watching over you. The US is looking to President Elect Barack Obama for change and maybe for a way out of recession and to get our lives back on track. But spiritually we must look to God to get our lives back on track. We can not depend on the world system to deliver us out of them all. They may deliver you out of some but the God will deliver you out of them all! In the word of God there is a solution for your every problem. The bible says many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD will delivereth out of them all. You may be in distress with your finances or issues in life with your family, children, friends and love ones. Or maybe you have been in persistent pain, no matter the case maybe, the word didn’t say that we wouldn’t be afflicted. But through the many afflictions just know that you have a deliverer. Then you can truly belief and have an affirmation that the struggle is over!

Scripture: Psalms 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
