Is your hair healthy?
It’s been a while since I have rave about the process of healthy hair growth. That’s because after my quick weave experience my hair started to break off dramatically.
My hair had grown out about four inches. It had grown little past my ears in July. So around September, I had to go to almost ball. I call it that anyway because my hair had broken out so bad. It started with every time I comb through it; it would shed. I can see the point of breaking on each strand. So, the only thing to do when it gets that bad is to start over.

My hair was cut so short, I could not curl it. I had a good length on my bangs and the upper crown of my head but everything else was cut off. Since then I have been talking to salons and beauticians in the area because I am getting ready to publish my first style magazine. As I begin to speak with beautician that promotes healthy hair growth it was recommended that I take hair & nail vitamins.
So I picked up some Hair vitamins by CaliNatural Special Formula from Wal-Mart. After three weeks of taking them. I found the Hair, Nail & Skin Vitamins by Spring Valley. The Hair, Nail & Skin vitamins with collagen support. It’s only been a couple of days taking these so I am going to see what the results will be. Only time will tell. The hair vitamins are supposed to strengthen the hair. The new growth should be stronger and healthier.
On another note, I still love Duby Kiss by Outré. Now they have started selling the knock off version in my local hair store. Its call Duby but it is not by Outré. It’s a look a like but I think Duby Kiss by Outré it the better version.
I am still on my road to growing out my hair. Remember the thing is…. My hair is coarse and dries out very quickly. I don’t know about everyone else but I can’t afford to go to the salons every week, or every other week. So, I am using I have. So, what I did is:
(1) Purchased a Conair Collapsible Hard Hat dryer from Wal-Mart. It was around $25-30. This product was long over due. I had needed one badly!
(2) CONIDITION, CONDITION, CONDITION!!!!
Olive Oil – Shampoo and Deep Conditioner. Any deep conditioning product should work. But, after I wash my hair. I use the plastic bag, deep conditioner treatment.
(3) Take hair, skin & nail vitamins.
(4) Apply hair grease when needed.
(5) Stop in at the salon at least once a month to get my ends clipped to avoid split ends.
These are steps anyone can do at home. I still wear my weave every now and then. I may stick a track here or there. (As I did today w/ the red) But, I am taking the initiative to make sure I avoid the breakage.
Back in August my husband bought me a HP Netbook for my birthday. I must say it was right on time. Since my Compaq computer that I have had for almost two years is having all kinds of problems.
There are pro’s and con’s about the mini computers. My husband got the Netbook from Verizon. So, it came with internet access. That is one of the benefits of my hp notebook. I can be anywhere and access the internet. Even though I would have preferred to have a card that could be accessible with any PC having the internet on my netbook is great.
My main con is the fact that it is so small. I have to get use to the size. But a pro, it is great that I can stick it in my purse and have it with me where I go. Another con is that it doesn’t have the full the effect of Microsoft Word. It will open up Microsoft 2007 documents with the (x) extension but if I chose to originate a document its does not have the benefits. It uses Microsoft Works as the general word processing program. So if you are the artistic type as I, it is not a satisfying matter when it comes down to doing something creative. So there you have it, my thoughts!
Get Verizon High Speed Internet FREE for 6 months! Limited time offer Extended!

What is the first step in buying a new home? To look for a new home….. Or maybe it is calling up realtor. From my experience let me share with you some common ideas when you are looking to buy your first home.
(1) The Bank… How much home can you afford?
First, speak with your banker or mortgage broker to give you an assessment on what you can afford. If you are really serious about purchasing a home it is good to get a pre-approval in writing. (Mortgage Calculator)
(2) Your options…Where do you want to live?
Now that you have the budget for you new home consider your options. Do not forget about the real estate taxes and home owners insurance. Based on the value of your new home and where your home is located, taxes can get a bit costly. If you live out in the country, you will not have to pay in city taxes as well as other taxes that may apply to the area. Other fees that you may encounter is Home Owners Association fees; depending on the type of subdivision your home maybe in could result in the amount of fees and required maintenance cost that comes with living within a subdivision.
A simple nugget… Don’t forget about the foreclosure sales! “Save Big” when buying your home!!
(3) Real Estate agent… Do you need one?
It’s up to you if you would prefer to have a real estate agent or not. The agent will make the process more seamlessly. It is a good idea to choose someone that you can work well with and that is concern about your well being.
(4) The Title Company… Chose a good title company with outstanding service to provide title insurance for your home. The reason why I stated outstanding service is because you need a company that will work with you. That values you as a customer. That will keep you updated on the progress of your transaction especially if there is not realtor involved to represent you.
Not going into to much detail, these are just some general steps to consider when you start to think about making your first home purchase.
Peace Love and Stilettos!!!

I know that you hate to pick up the phone and on the other end of the line find a bill collector. But one thing you do not want to avoid is Student Loan collections.
Having your Student Loan to go into collections is by far one of the worst things that could result in damaging your credit dramatically. There are ways to prevent default.
First you need to know that your student loan can not be cleared through bankruptcy. It is with you for life, through thick and then the ups and the bad. You have to pay it! So don’t go to school thinking you can skip on this note.
If you are facing rough times there are many deferments you may qualify to receive to postpone your payments. Then if you don’t qualify for a deferment, ask for a forbearance. Having a forbearance allows you to temporarily postpone or reduce your loan payments. You are responsible to pay the interest that accrues during the forbearance period. Unpaid interest may be capitalized which is interest added to your loan principal. Then the capitalized interest will increase the amount you owe, and may result in a higher monthly payment after the forbearance period has ended.
If you are behind, contact your lender immediately. If your loan goes into default you may be:
These matters can easily be avoided if you contact your lender right away. Remember if you are experiencing financial hardship there is a way out and help is out there. You can not solve the problem with avoiding it. Reach out to your lender to see if you qualify for a deferment or forbearance to postpone your monthly payments.

I had written a review on Zenni Optical over a year ago but it was a paid post. But a couple of weeks ago, I actually tried Zenni Optical after doing some research and they are AWESOME!
Zenni Optical offer full prescription glasses with frame and high index lenses as low as $8.00. We are not talking just any pair of glasses. Again, this is NOT a paid post!
I wear corrective lenses because my eye prescription is so bad. We are talking -5.75. So, I need the higher index lenses or polycarbonate lenses. Both my daughter and I have been in need of some glasses. She lost hers as soon as we had gotten them from the eye doctor the first time around. Now, since she need another pair I was going to have to pay fully out of pocket. It would be another two years before I can get glasses on my insurance. Even with insurance, I could save money going through an alternative route. So, when I was checking the prices of glasses around my area optical mart, I thought that I would also try Zenni Optical online.
I place an Order on November 2nd for my daughter. I figured I could buy her some $8 glasses. $8, that was much to lose just incase they were not to my likings, right? Anyways, I received notice on November 10th they were being shipped. The next day was postal holiday it was on to see how long it would take to find out what there services and products were like from Zenni Optical. Well, that Friday on November 13th is when I received the glasses in the mail.
I was very impressed. It comes with a cleaning cloth and hard case. They were exactly the same as the $250 pair of glasses that I purchased from the eye doctor. After insurance was applied I still paid $100. But with Zenni, I paid $8 for the frames w/ lenses and $4.95 shipping.
So, on November 10th. I ordered me a pair. Being that my eye sight is so
much worse than my daughters, I spent the extra $17 to get extra thin lenses. The standard lenses for Zenni is 1.57 Index Lenses. This is a thin light and high quality lense. The frames they have available are all high quality stylish frames. Each pair of glasses come with anti scratch coating, full UV protection, lens edge polishing and beveling, quality hard case, microfiber cleaning cloth and a full guarantee.
I will let you know how I come out with the higher index lenses since my prescription is stronger. But if you need glasses, Zenni is the way to go!
Now for $8, that’s unheard of! Let’s break it down….

You do the math!!
All you need to order online is the prescription from your eye doctor. Pick out your frames, key it in, add it to the cart process the payment and you are done. The great thing is, you can order 10 pair of glasses and pay one $4.95 shipping charge. The shipping charge is one flat rate per order so it doesn’t matter how many pair you order. That’s wonderful!
I did my research before I ordered the glasses. I found a discussion board that became active in 2003 talking about Zenni Optical, with over 700 threads. I am surprise Zenni is not more popular that what its is. So this is my new thing!

As always, Peace, Love & STILETTOS!!!!
I have some wonderful people out there that is apart of Manifest Me, that really takes an extra time out to do something a little extra special for me!
Like one of my newest FaceBook diva’s that took out the time to send me Mary K! Thank you for the shimmery lip gloss and the eye shadows! I have been wearing the fool out of that makeup! All the way from New York to Texas, thanks Magalie for the make-up! You are a doll!!!
I have a girlfriend out there somewhere her name is Kim. I was helping her with something and I was caught up and very busy. So, in an email I told her to call me. Out of no where I gave this stranger of a diva my telephone number. “Why?” Who knows! But, being the sweetheart she was, called me immediately! We chatted it up and her first words before she could get anything out was Thank you! Then she told me to go the NineWest Site and pick out some stiletto or shoes that I wanted. To Kim, I am still looking for the perfect pair. I haven’t forgotten. In the meantime I wanted to say “Thank You”!
OMG!!!! Now this diva here is a soldier of a Diva!!! I want everyone that believes in the power of prayer to send out a prayer to my friend Erna. She wrote me a while back and said she wasn’t going to rest until she donated something because I have been such a blessing to her. She told me that what goes around comes around. Then she wanted my address so she could send a little something extra special to the ministry.
A few weeks had went by and I had not heard from her. Then out of the blue this week I received an email from her. She said she had struggled in school because she had surgery on the 6th and turned around and had a heart attack on the 16th. It is just a miracle that she is still alive! The special thing to me was, she didn’t have to do it but she thought about me in the process. She said she couldn’t rest until she put something in the mail.
Dear Erna, I wanted to write to you because I believe the effectual prayers of the righteous makes a difference. I know your heart was yearning to be a blessing but I believe it was a seed. It was a big act of faith on your part. No matter what the circumstance you kept your word. Though I forgot about what you had said, the mere fact that you reach out to me, I don’t take it likely. What you don’t know about me is that I am a true intercessor. I don’t know exactly what you need but I believe in miracles! I pray that God will touch your body and bring healing from the top of your head to the sole of your feet. I pray that your body lines with with the word of God and you walk in total health and victory. I speak healing to your mind, body and soul! I thank God that every weapon that has been formed against you is not going to prosper. I pray that you sleep well and rest every time you go to sleep. No more restless nights. I pray that you walk in total victory in every area of your life. I thank God for sending you my way via the internet so that I am able to pray for you. I thank God for healing your body in a way that you will not need another surgery or will not have another natural default as being an earthly vessel. I thank God for placing you into my life and I look forward to your testimony or full restoration and complete victory. I also thank God for a speedy recovery from your present state. I thank God for keeping your mind and working out every kink in your life. I also thank him for perfecting everything that concerns you! You be blessed!! - Interceeding on your behalf… A mighty prayer warriorPeace, Love and Stilettos to all!!!

I started school in September of 2007 on the Bachelors of Science in Business Administration degree program. Recently I changed my major to Information Technology. So there went all of my business courses. My last business course was Finance and I coupled it with Foundations in Web Development. Right now, I am taking one six credit hour class because I still needed the financial aid but I also needed a light load.
What I hate about Kaplan is that the Financial Aid office has taken three months to process the verification for FAFSA and also to correspond with me. Here it is my 4th academic year and still they don’t reply to emails.
How have your experience been like with Kaplan University? Do you have issues with the financial Aid or your Academic Advisor returning your emails? Maybe you are one of the one they respond to.
All I know that if I were going to a school on campus I would not have these issues. I am seriously thinking bout transferring to another college. This is getting ridiculous!!!!
Share your thoughts about school online.
