I started school in September of 2007 on the Bachelors of Science in Business Administration degree program. Recently I changed my major to Information Technology. So there went all of my business courses. My last business course was Finance and I coupled it with Foundations in Web Development. Right now, I am taking one six credit hour class because I still needed the financial aid but I also needed a light load.
What I hate about Kaplan is that the Financial Aid office has taken three months to process the verification for FAFSA and also to correspond with me. Here it is my 4th academic year and still they don’t reply to emails.
How have your experience been like with Kaplan University? Do you have issues with the financial Aid or your Academic Advisor returning your emails? Maybe you are one of the one they respond to.
All I know that if I were going to a school on campus I would not have these issues. I am seriously thinking bout transferring to another college. This is getting ridiculous!!!!

I was told that I was not eligible to get financial aid. A friend at work goes to Hofstra University in New York, she makes more money than I has a bigger house than I older kids (way older) than mine and she was able to get financial aid. I am wondering if they gave me the right information because this is absurd.
Magalie wow! Were you not able to get financial aid at all. That I don’t understand. I would understand if you did not qualify for a pell grant but surely you could take out student loans, if need be right?
I am almost up to my neck with Student Loans. But, hopefully after i receive my bachelors my work ethics and pay can improve dramatically in the field of study for which i have chosen and be able to stay a float! if not oh well…. =)
i don’t see how you were not eligible to get financial aid at all. so let me know if i am understanding you correctly. =) thanks for commenting!!

I was able to get student loans and that was it. No financial aid at all. Worst my job used to give out up to $8,000 tuition reimbursement, now they cut it down to $3,000 which does not put a dent in the payments as you could imagine. Hopefully after I am done I will get some kind of raise or be able to work my business a lot better to pay these loans
But I was really disapointed that I could not get financial aid and I did not feel like they tried to help any either.
Help- Do you have resources for Finance-Distingish Scholar 3, 4, 5 and 6
