    dryerIs your hair healthy?

    Here’s my progress…..

It’s been a while since I have rave about the process of healthy hair growth. That’s because after my quick weave experience my  hair started to break off dramatically.

My hair had grown out about four inches. It had grown little past my ears in July. So around September, I had to go to almost ball. I call it that anyway because my hair had broken out so bad. It started with every time I comb through it; it would shed. I can see the point of breaking on each strand. So, the only thing to do when it gets that bad is to start over.

My hair was cut so short, I could not curl it. I had a good length on my bangs and the upper crown of my head but everything else was cut off. Since then I have been talking to salons and beauticians in the area because I am getting ready to publish my first style magazine. As I begin to speak with beautician that promotes healthy hair growth it was recommended that I take hair & nail vitamins.

So I picked up some Hair vitamins by CaliNatural Special Formula from Wal-Mart. After three weeks of taking them. I found the Hair, Nail & Skin Vitamins by Spring Valley. The Hair, Nail & Skin vitamins with collagen support. It’s only been a couple of days taking these so I am going to see what the results will be. Only time will tell. The hair vitamins are supposed to strengthen the hair. The new growth should be stronger and healthier.

On another note, I still love Duby Kiss by Outré. Now they have started selling the knock off version in my local hair store. Its call Duby but it is not by Outré. It’s a look a like but I think Duby Kiss by Outré it the better version.

    So, what now…

I am still on my road to growing out my hair. Remember the thing is….  My hair is coarse and dries out very quickly. I don’t know about everyone else but I can’t afford to go to the salons every week, or every other week. So, I am using I have.  So, what I did is:

    (1)   Purchased a Conair Collapsible Hard Hat dryer from Wal-Mart. It was around $25-30. This product was long over due. I had needed one badly!

    (2)    CONIDITION, CONDITION, CONDITION!!!!

oliveoilOlive Oil – Shampoo and Deep Conditioner. Any deep conditioning product should work. But, after I wash my hair. I use the plastic bag, deep conditioner treatment.

    1. Apply the conditioner and put the plastic bag over your head. Sit under the dryer for 10-15 minutes and then rinse. It is also good to apply some leave in conditioner.

     (3)   Take hair, skin & nail vitamins.

    (4)   Apply hair grease when needed.

    (5)   Stop in at the salon at least once a month to get my ends clipped to avoid split ends.

These are steps anyone can do at home. I still wear my weave every now and then. I may stick a track here or there. (As I did today w/ the red) But, I am taking the initiative to make sure I avoid the breakage.
